Non-adiabatic regions in a dipole field

Description
The possibility of violating adiabaticity of the particle motion in the earth magnetospheric core is analyzed. It is established that for particles with sufficiently great pitch-angles adiabaticity of charged particle motion in the field of the earth magnetospheric core is defined by the transverse gradient. The boundaries of the non-adiabaticity region are determined. It is shown that the local non-adiabaticity regions affecting the probability of particle annihilation can appear
