Monte Carlo method implementation on IPSC 860 for the resolution of the Boltzmann equation
Description
This note deals with the implementation on a massively parallel machine (IPSC-860) of a Monte-Carlo method aiming at resolving the Boltzmann equation. The parallelism of the machine incites to consider a multi-domain approach and poses the problem of the automatic generation of local meshes from a non-structured 3-D global mesh
Abstract (French)
Nous nous interessons a l'implantation sur une machine massivement parallele (l'IPSC-860) d'une methode de Monte-Carlo en vue de resoudre l'equation de Boltzmann. Le parallelisme de cette machine incite a envisager une approche multi-domaines et pose entre autres le probleme d'une generation automatique de maillages locaux a partir d'un maillage global 3-D non-structure.
