Time-dependent measurements with BABAR at PEP-II

Description
We present a study of time-dependent asymmetries in neutral B meson decays collected with the BABAR detector at the PEP-II asymmetric B Factory. We find a non-zero value for the CP-violating amplitude sin(2β) thus establishing CP violation in the B0 system at the 4.1σ level. We also report on precision measurements of the B+ and B0 lifetimes and of the B0B-bar0 oscillation frequency Δmd, and on a first measurement of the time-dependent CP-violating amplitude in B0 → π+π- decays
