Description
In the framework of Poincare gauge field theory, it is shown that a certain quadratic lagrangian has three limits: (1) a weak-field limit with a newtonian and a 'confinement' potential, (2) a general relativistic limit including the Schwarzschild solution, and (3) the unphysical limit of a riemannian model of spacetime with a curvature-square lagrangian.
