Description
The VDI Report 1100 contains the papers of the conference held on March 16/17 1994 in Veitshoechheim. The goal of this conference was to examine the success to date of the environmental protection measures of and obligations imposed on the energy industry, to point out economic and ecological limits and to discuss the dissensus and consensus themes arising from these and to evaluate them in a European and international context. This VDI Report covers the following main themes: - environmental protection and political economy; -description of and establishment of pollutant limits; - costs, benefits, perspectives of the environmental protection measures in the power station, traffic, refinery, space heating and waste disposal sectors; - external costs and effectivity of environmental and energy policy. Der VDI-Bericht 1100 enthaelt die Vortraege der am 16./17. Maerz 1994 in Veitshoechheim veranstalteten Fachtagung. Ziel dieser Tagung war es, in der Energiewirtschaft durchgefuehrte Umweltschutzmassnahmen und -auflagen auf ihre bisher erreichten Erfolge zu untersuchen, wirtschaftliche und oekologische Grenzen aufzuzeigen und dabei bestehende Dissens- und Konsensthemen in Energietechnik und -wirtschaft zu diskutieren und im europaeischen und internationalen Vergleich zu bewerten. Der vorliegende VDI-Bericht behandelt folgende Themenschwerpunkte: - Umweltschutz und Volkswirtschaft; -Schadstoffgrenzwertfindung und Grenzwertfestsetzung; - Kosten, Nutzen, Perspektiven der Umweltschutzmassnahmen in den Bereichen Kraftwerk, Verkehr, Raffinerie, Raumwaerme und Entsorgung; - Externe Kosten und Effektivitaet in der Umwelt- und Energiepolitik.
