A methodology for and the determination of hazardous TCDD contaminants in South African herbicides

Description
An appropriate methodology was developed under the direction of the senior author which allowed us to analyze various 2,4,5-T herbicides for the toxic contaminant 2,3,7,8-tetrachlorodibenzo-p-dioxin (TCDD). The contaminant was detected at levels of three to fifty-six nanograms per gram (ng g-1), i.e. 3-56 ppb (parts per billion)
