Nevada Nuclear Waste Storage Investigations environmental area characterization report, compiled July 1982
Description
The Environmental Area Characterization Report describes the southwestern corner of the Nevada Test Site, Nye County, Nevada, a potential location for a geologic repository for high-level radioactive waste. The characterization summarizes reports supplied by Sandia National Laboratories, which cover the following topics: atmosphere, radiation background, hydrosphere, biosphere, energy and mineral resources, socioeconomics, and cultural resources.
