Description
The spectroscopic properties of group I elements, of which plasma frequencies are substantially lower than others, have been extensively investigated. An appropriate selection of tracer elements in the liquid sodium could efficiently produce the fluorescent radiation by the resonant laser pumping. This paper reports the status of the revolutionary flow dynamics observation technique, which may eventually be applied to the understandings and control of the liquid sodium flow in the fast breeder reactor.
