Calculation and experimental investigation of the process of condensate formation on the unheated equipment of power plants

Description

The process of condensate formation on the unheated equipment is one of the operation features of power plants upon start up. This condensate accumulating in the volumes of flue gas path hinders start up. The aim of this work is to determine the range of parameters wherein non-circulating condensate formation occurs, to develop the method of condensation estimation on unheated equipment and to work out recommendations proving reliable operation of the plant upon start up. The methematical model is given and also the method of digital electronic computer calculation of chemically reacting coolant with phase transformation in the channels of complex configurations. Estimated data are verified by experimental investigations. When determining cold loading of the loop it is necessary to take account of the coolant decrease into the non-circulating condensate. Provosion of minimum permissible level in the condensate collector is considered to be the main criterion. This eliminates disturbance of operation of the circulator
