Stabilization of a new cuprate La4Sr4Cu8-xNixO18 with anion-deficient perovskite structure

Description
In the La-Sr-Cu-Ni-O system during annealing in air at 970 Deg C at first and then in He atmosphere at 950 Deg C a new complex cuprate of La4Sr4Cu8-xNixO18 (1≤x≤2.0) variable composition with tetragonal structure of anion-deficient perovskite is prepared. Crystal structure of the cuprate prepared was improved by Rietveld method in space group P4-barb2. Formation of the compound is owed to Ni stabilizing effect which high affinity to octahedral surrounding leads to formation of unusual crystal lattice of the phase. Thermal properties of the cuprate prepared are studied in air in 20-1000 Deg C interval

В системе La-Sr-Cu-Ni-O при прокаливании сначала на воздухе при 970 град C, а затем в атмосфере He при 950 град C получени новый сложный купрат переменного состава La4Sr4Cu8-xNixO18 (1≤x≤2.0) с тетрагональной структурой анионодефицитного перовскита. Кристаллическая структура полученного купрата была уточнена по методу Ритвельда в пространственной группе P4-barb2. Образование соединения обязяно стабилизирующему влиянию Ni, высокая склонность которого к октаэдрическому окружению приводит к формированию необычной кристаллической решетки данной фазы.
