Recent levels of 90Sr activity in the environment of the Krsko nuclear power plant
Description
The activity of 90Sr was measured in samples of soil, plants, fruit and arable crops collected in 1987 and 1988 from the environment of the Krsko nuclear power plant, Slovenia, Yugoslavia. Of the terrestrial samples, much higher activities of 90Sr per g Ca were observed in turf relative to ploughed land. In agricultural produce, the highest activities were observed in root crops and the lowest in fruit. A considerable decrease in activity was observed in the samples collected during 1988. (author)
