Description
The energy response and the angular response of the neutron albedo TLD on some typical calibration phantoms are measured. The accelerator and the 252Cf are used as neutron source. A paraffin phantom, a acrylate slab phantom (JIS phantom), cylindrical water phantoms (two types, one was full water phantom and another was cavity water phantom) and the special anthropomorphic phantom which was made of neutron tissue equivalent material were used as calibration phantoms. As the results, significant difference in the characteristics of dosimeter are observed between the different kinds of phantoms. The energy response on the water phantom was in good agreement with the energy response on the anthropomorphic phantom. The angular response of the cavity water phantom were in good agreement with the angular response on the anthropomorphic phantom. Suitable calibration phantom was considered based on this experiment.
