Change of reflective capacity and thermal resistance of metal alloys under selective oxidation

Description

Effect of binary alloys based on copper of selective Al and Be additives-elements oxidation on optical properties has been investigated. Specimens for investigations in the form of polished discs were made of commercial brazes of Br.B2 and Br.AZh9-4 grades. Results of measurements of braze absorption at lambda=10.6 μm depending on treatment temperature in vacuum chamber are given. It is shown that absorption decreases markedly and depends slightly on treatment temperature and time (during 2-4 h). The results obtained confirmed the main paper idea of the possibility for using selective oxidation to change absorption and thermal shock resistance of metal alloys
