Quantal trajectories in a theory of heavy-ion scattering

  • 1. Hahn-Meitner-Institut fuer Kernforschung Berlin G.m.b.H. (Germany, F.R.)

Description

An impact-parameter representation has been derived for the elastic-scattering amplitude which avoids partial-wave summations. This was done by introducing quantal trajectories, which also have the advantage that they reach the classically forbidden region. Additionally an expression has been obtained for the absorption which goes beyond first-order perturbation theory. (Auth.)
