Study of U(4) complexing with chlorides at higher temperatures
Description
The complexing was studied of U(4) with Cl- ions over a wide range of temperatures and ionic strengths of solutions for obtaining the thermodynamic characteristics of the reaction. The constants of formation of the monochloride complex of UCl3+ were determined by the potentiometric method at temperatures of 70-150 deg C and solution ionic strengths of 0.5-4.0. The constants for the zero ionic force were calculated by extrapolation. The equation of the temperature dependence of the constants for temperatures of 25-150 deg C was derived. The changes in enthalpy, entropy, and free energy of the reaction of formation of UCl3+ for temperatures of 25-150 deg C were calculated
