Thermodynamic bounds for UO2-Na fuel-coolant interactions
Description
A thermodynamic upper bound is obtained for work which might be performed during a hypothetical sodium coolant/fuel interaction. The bound is only half that given by earlier estimates due to the inclusion of a metal-insulator transition, the formation of Na2 and a more accurate equation of state. (author)
