Description

Regge theory is discussed, and it is suggested that there is growing evidence that in a rather absolute sense conventional Regge theory does not correctly describe the asymptotic behavior of scattering amplitudes. The following interactions are considered: π-p → π0n charge exchange scattering, np → pn charge exchange scattering, and π+-p → pπ+- backward scattering. 13 figures
