On the contribution of the Δ-isobar to the charge form factor of 3He

Description
Corrections to the 3He charge form factor arising from Δ-admixtures in the wave function are investigated. The calculation is based on a solution of the Faddeev equations with explicit inclusion of the Δ-isobar. The corrections are not sufficient to account for the existing discrepancies between theory and experiment. Perturbation approximation to the Δ-components in the wave functions are constructed and found to be in reasonable agreement with the exact solution. (orig.)
