Spherical safety containment for nuclear reactors made of steel
Description
In spherical safety containments one can fix the concrete units inside by anchoring devices and connect them to a concrete foundation which supports the lower part of the sphere. The anchoring devices are kept apart from the concrete by yielding packing. According to the invention, they are only orientated through the meridian running through the lower and upper pole at right angles to the surface of the sphere. They are widened transversely to this. This takes up earthquake forces, without preventing the deformation resulting from inside pressure. (orig./HP)

Bei kugelfoermigen Sicherheitsbehaeltern kann man durch Verankerungsglieder innere Betoneinbauten festlegen und mit einem Betonfundament verbinden, das die Kugel im unteren Teil unterstuetzt. Die Verankerungsglieder sind mit einer nachgiebigen Packung gegenueber dem Beton distanziert. Sie sind erfindungsgemaess nur in den durch den unteren und oberen Pol verlaufenden Meridianebenen rechtwinklig zur Oberflaeche der Kugel orientiert. Quer dazu sind sie dagegen verbreitert. Damit werden Erdbebenkraefte aufgenommen, ohne die bei Innendruckbelastung auftretende Verformung zu behindern. (orig./HP)Additional details
