Detection efficiency of a high purity silicon gamma dector for low activity samples
Description
A high purity silicon gamma detector in coaxial geometry has been calibrated for samples of non-point geometry, different compositions and low activity. As a result the efficiency is expressed as a function of mean sample height, sample density and gamma energy with a mean accuracy of 5%. As examples the content of bore probes and of building materials is determined. (G.Q.)
