Dose-distribution in case of two-area telecobalt irradiation of parotidean tumors
Description
The application of two wedges results in the following dose-distribution: the target volume is within the 90% isodose curve, whereas the spinal cord lies on the 25% isodose curve. Taking into account the tolerance of the spinal cord, even 180 Gy can be achieved in the parotis by the new method. (L.E.)
