Structure and spectra of 35Cl, 79Br and 127I nuclear quadrupole resonance of zirconium and hafnium tetrahalogenides
- 1. AN SSSR, Moscow. Inst. Ehlementoorganicheskikh Soedinenij
Description
The 35Cl, and 127I nuclear quadrupole resonance spectra of zirconium and hafnium tetrachlorides and tetraiodides are studied for the first time at 77 K and at the room temperature. A single-valued relation of 127I (1/2-3/2 and 3/2-5/2) transition frequencies for zirconium tetraiodide is made, and the structural data are compared with the spectral one. The X-ray structural investigation of ZrI4 was made to explain the appearence of additional lines in NQR spectra of 79Br and 127I of zirconium and hafnium tetrahalogenides. It is shown that ZrI4 exists in several crystal modifications
