Establishment of optimal decontamination process using a newly developed decontaminating agent
- 1. KEPRI, Taejon (Korea, Republic of)
Description
The decontaminating agents including a reducing agent, an oxidizing agent, and an additive were developed by dissolution tests and corrosion tests using a synthesized simulated cruds, which are a very similar chemical composition and crystal structure to actual cruds. Then, the optimal decontaminating process were established via oxidation step, reduction step, decontamination step and ion exchange step. And also, the semi-pilot equipment including decontamination tank, electric heater, filter and ion exchange tower was designed and manufactured
