Description
This paper presents results from an experimental study of the critical heat fluxes in the boiling of subheated water on a cylindrical heater placed in a rotating radial channel. The boiling takes place under conditions of forced flow. It is shown that the boiling process which occurs in the body-force field created by rotation of the channel has distinctive features compared to boiling of the liquid in a stationary vertical channel. The test data is generalized on the basis of analysis of the effect of the body forces on the boiling crisis
