Fusion cross sections for 6Li + 12C and 6Li + 13C reactions at low energies
Creators

Description
A literature survey of the reactions with 6,7Li as projectiles shows that for 6,7Li + 12C, 6,7Li + 13C and 7Li + 16O the fusion cross sections obtained from the detection of heavy ion residues reach only ∼50-60% of the total reaction cross sections predicted by the optical model calculations. The present results show no fusion cross section limitations for the two systems 6Li + 12,13C, w.r.t. the optical model predictions, using parameters obtained from the fitting of elastic scattering data
