Transformation of GaSb substrate surface at isothermal contact with melts of In-As-Sb and In-As-Sb-Bi system

Description
The interaction of GaSb substrates with saturated and supersaturated melt-solutions of In-As-Sb and In-As-Sb-Bi has been experimentally studied in conditions of isothermal contact of various durations. An investigation of the specific features of the relies and composition of local regions of the surface in contact suggests that this interaction is characterized by cyclic processes of dissolution and crystallization whose concrete character depends on the composition and extent of supercooling of the starting liquid phase, conditions of mass transfer in the melt, defectiveness of the substrate surface
