Description

The efficiency of topaz-Teflon detectors as thermoluminescent dosimeters were evaluated in dosimetric procedures in megavoltage electron beams for radiotherapy. These detectors were manufactured on pellets form with 1 mm of thickness and 6 mm of diameter. The detectors have shown appropriate characteristics to this type of radiation monitoring, with a dosimetric peak at high temperature which intensity is proportional to absorbed dose mainly in the therapeutic range.
