Two new faint carbon stars at high galactic latitudes
Creators
Description
Two faint carbon stars have been detected during an objective-prism survey at high galactic latitudes. The spectra and colors of the two stars indicate a class of R5-R8 in both cases. The galactic coordinates and estimated distances of the two objects are = 183 , b = -47,r= 3.2l:pcandZ= 0,b= -43,r= l2kpc. Key words: carbon stars - high galactic latitudes - objective-prism survey - photometry
