Description
The γ-ray absorption coefficients for some high-Z scintillator crystals (Cd W O4, BGO, and CsI) are given in the form of three semiempirical formulae whose accuracy across three energy decades or more is better than 3%. The incoherent scattering from bound electrons is also taken into account. (orig.)
