Long-lived radical formation in radiolysis of liquid perfluoro-4-methylpentene-2
- 1. Tashkentskij Gosudarstvennyj Univ. (USSR)
Description
Three types of long-lived radicals are identified in EPR spectrum of γ-irradiated perfluoro-4-methylpentene-2 in the absence and in the presence of air with doses up to 600 kJ/kg at 300 deg K. The reason for stabilization of a noncoupled electron in them is its spatial isolation in a perfluoroalkyl radical or its delocalization in the neighbouring double bond in the case of perfluorallyl radical
