Description
In this paper, we discuss the role of trapped atoms for the next generation of precision experiments looking to unveil important details of the weak interactions. In particular, we concentrate on proposals for studies of beta-decay, atomic parity non-conservation and atomic electric dipole moments. By closely inspecting eventual discrete symmetry violations, these experiments will serve as important paths to search for physics beyond the Standard Model. (author)
