Dielectric detector when pulsed supplying

  • 1. Erevanskij Fizicheskij Inst. (USSR)

Description

Characteristics of a dielectric detector (DD) for particles in pulsed power supply operation are investigated. DD represents a system of two flat metal electrodes. The space between the electrodes is filled with porous dielectric. Gilded tungsten anode filanents are stretched between them across a mean plane. MgO, KCl and CsI porous layers, which densities constitutes shares or percents of relatively normal density, are used as working substances. Effect of inverse voltage on the efficiency of the detector operation for all the above working substances has been studied. It is shown that DD possesses high coordinate and high time resolutions
