Description
96 patients supposed to have liver parenchyma disorders underwent abdominal sonography as well as technetium scintigraphy. In all patients liver biopsies were performed. Histological examination resulted in all cases in pathological findings: 76 patients revealed a diffuse fattiness, 20 patients showed a cirrhotic conversion. Sonographically, 92.7% of all findings were pathologic, the highest sensitivity resulted from steatosis hepatis. Through the only assessment of activity distribution, diffuse fattiness was revealed by scintiscanning only in 50% cirrhosis in 85% of patients. (author)
