2.4.4. Decomposition of calcined concentrate of boron-containing ores with acetic acid
Creators
Description
At acetic acid decomposition there is almost complete extraction of calcium, iron and boron oxides from the ore, which is confirmed by the bar diagram taken for the residue of borosilicate ore concentrate after decomposition using CO3COOH. The bar diagram shows that the lines characterising iron-bearing minerals - garnet, danburite, pyroxene are absent, but the lines of quartz are clearly shown. That is, there is a transition into solution of iron and boron containing minerals (danburite, garnet, pyroxene).
