Radionuclide imaging in the diagnosis of meckel's diverticulum

Description
22 children with gastrointestinal hemorrhage were studied using 99mTcO4-. All 10 cases of Meckel's diverticulum and 2 cases with duplication of small bowel, confirmed by surgery, were correctly detected. Ectopic gastric mucosa in abdomen was excluded clinically in other 9 cases, 5 of which being proved surgically or endoscopically. The method is very helpful for clinical diagnosis and treatment
