Interference effects in inelastic proton scattering
Description
Interference effects in 28Si(p,p') inelastic scattering are studied in the Coulomb barrier region. The interference occurs between compound contributions and direct inelastic transitions. The asymmetric resonance shape is analyzed to extract the intrinsic shape of the excited target nucleus
