Study of the processes of autoclave aluminium chlorination with four chlorine carbon

Description
The process of autoclave chlorination of aluminum with carbon tetrachloride has been studied by various methods. Calculations have shown that during the chlorination of aluminum, CCl4 partially decomposes to form condensed carbon and gaseous Cl2, C2Cl4 and C2Cl6. The reliability of obtained data on equilibrium composition of chlorination process has been proved by carrying out of appropriate experiments on elemental and phase composition of reaction products. Thermodynamic potentials, the values of which indicate the possibility of chlorination of Al with CCl4 under the experimental conditions have been determined. (author)
