Reasonable selection the ROI of renal dynamic image in upper urinary tract obstruction patients

Description

Objective: To discuss how to choose the region of interest (ROI) at renal dynamic imaging in upper urinary obstruction patients. Methods: Using 99mTc-DTPA renal dynamic imaging, Gates method respectively in the whole kidney and renal cortex of ROI calculated the renal GFR of 45 cases, and we detected the 24 hours urine albumin (24 hUmAlb) and Urine protein quantitative (24 hPro) for correlation analysis. All patients have better check preparation and higher quality of nuclide projectile injection. Results: With the aggravation of water, GFR decreased which calculated by two ROI means, 24 hUmAlb and 24 hPro all rise at the same time. Overall, compared with the renal ROI, the GFR values calculated by renal cortex ROI have better correlation to 24 hUmAlb and 24 hPro. Conclusions: When the upper urinary tract obstruction patients who at renal dynamic imaging with radionuclide retention, setting total renal ROI to calculate the GFR maybe underestimate the degree of impaired renal function, and using renal cortex ROI is a more reasonable choice.
