Description
The Liquid Poison System (LPS) as its main function develops power ramp rates in the in-pile irradiation module (IM) through changes in demineralized water boric acid concentration. Those changes in water chemical composition, added to intern generation of stable species such as O2, H2 y H2O2 due to water radiolytic decomposition, may consequently produce changes in the chemical characteristics leading to corrosion conditions. Water's chemistry modifications are analyzed and quantified through pH, specific conductivity and dissolved hydrogen concentration estimations. (author)
