Description
This paper reports on asbestos abatement which has taken a front seat in classrooms and board rooms across the country. Driven by regulations, liability fears and public health concerns, the market for asbestos abatement grew in 1987 by at least 50 percent, from $600 million in 1986 to $2.2 billion, according to an industry overview by the financial firm Alex. Brown and Sons (Baltimore, Md.)
