High-temperature materials and structural ceramics
Description
This report gives a survey of research work in the area of high-temperature materials and structural ceramics of the KFA (Juelich Nuclear Research Center). The following topics are treated: (1) For energy facilities: ODS materials for gas turbine blades and heat exchangers; assessment of the remaining life of main steam pipes, material characterization and material stress limits for First-Wall components; metallic and graphitic materials for high-temperature reactors. (2) For process engineering plants: composites for reformer tubes and cracking tubes; ceramic/ceramic joints and metal/ceramic and metal/metal joints; Composites and alloys for rolling bearing and sliding systems up to application temperatures of 1000deg C; high-temperature corrosion of metal and ceramic material; porous ceramic high-temperature filters and moulding coat-mix techniques; electrically conducting ceramic material (superconductors, fuel cells, solid electrolytes); high-temperature light sources (high-temperature chemistry); oil vapor engines with caramic components; ODS materials for components in diesel engines and vehicle gas turbines. Dieser Band gibt einen Ueberblick ueber durchzufuehrende Forschungsarbeiten auf dem Gebiet der hochwarmfesten Werkstoffe und Strukturkeramik (HWS) der Forschungsanlage Juelich. Es werden folgende Themen behandelt: (1) Fuer Energieanlagen: ODS-Werkstoffe fuer Gasturbinenschaufeln und Waermetauscher; Abschaetzung der Restlebensdauer von Frischdampfleitungen, Werkstoffcharakterisierung und -belastungsgrenzen fuer Erste Wand-Komponenten; Metallische und graphitische Werkstoffe fuer Hochtemperaturreaktoren. (2) Fuer verfahrenstechnische Anlagen: Verbundwerkstoffe fuer Reformer- und Spaltrohre; Keramik/Keramik-, Metall- Keramik-, Metall-Metall-Verbindungen; Verbundwerkstoffe und Legierungen fuer Waelzlager und Gleitsysteme bis 1000deg C; Hochtemperaturkorrosion von Metall und Keramik; Poroese keramische Hochtemperaturfilter und Gussformen -Coat-Mix-Verfahren; Elektrisch leitende Keramik (Supraleiter, Brennstoffzellen, Festelektrolyte); Hochtemperatur-Lichtquellen (Hochtemperaturchemie); Oeldampfmotor mit keramischen Komponenten; ODS-Werkstoffe fuer Bauteile in Dieselmotoren und Fahrzeuggasturbinen.
