Integrated tracking configuration, 1
Description
A conceptual design of a tracking system for a solenoidal detector is presented. The tracking system consists of silicon pixels and microstrip detectors at small radius and wire chambers at larger radius. The goals for the tracking system design are to provide momentum measurements of all charged particles with pT above a few GeV/c for |η| < or approx 2.5 and to provide a fast trigger for such particles.
