Identification of 200 GeV/c hadrons over a wide aperture
Description
A CERN, Saclay, Stony Brook collaboration is constructing a wide-aperture ring-imaging Cherenkov counter for a high P/sub T/ experiment at Fermilab (E605). Prototype tests indicate that our device will identify hadrons at least up to 200 GeV/c in momentum. Hence our technique is directly applicable to the forward-backward regions at ISABELLE if used in conjuction with magnetic analysis
