Lithium and perlithium compounds of light elements

The results of quantum-chemical calculations of light element lithium compounds: ''superalkaline'' ALisub(k+1)sup(+) onium cations, their salts [ALisub(k+1)]sup(+)X[MXsub(m+1)]sup(-) with the MXsub(m+1)sup(-)(A, M=Be, B etc.) ''superhalide'' anions as well as perlithium compounds of ALisub(n), ALisub(n)sup(+) and ALisub(n)sup(-) (n=1-6) type are discussed in the review. The stability of all considered types of molecules and ions to different channels of monomolecular, decomposition and possibility of their existence in a gas phase or under conditions of matrix isolation is forecasted. The presence of several, close by energy, various geometric structures with different type of chemical bond in singlet and triplet statesis characteristic for many of them, therefore they can be expected to have tendency to intpamolecular regrouping with a sharp change in nuclear configuration and cardinal redistribution of electron density at rather low energy consumption. The high catalytic activity of lithium and perlithium compounds is forecasted
