X-ray fluorescence determination of uranium in water with preconcentration by extraction with iron monoisooctylmethyl phosphonate
Description
A study was made on possibility of uranium concentration by uranium extraction with iron monoisooctylmethyl phosphonate from water samples for successive X-ray fluorescence analysis. It is shown that graduation dependence of analytical signal on uranium concentration in water is rectilinear. The detection limit of uranium during 1 h according to suggested method was equal to 0.06 μg/l. The method was used for analysis of surface and underground water with mineralization of 1 g/l maximum. The method enables to determine thorium (defection limit -0.05 μg/l) along with uranium
