A non-scaling hydrodynamic model for relativistic heavy-ion collisions: Pt. 1
Description
We develop a model for hadron production in relativistic heavy-ion collision in the energy range 5-30 GeV/A in the CM frame. It is essentially a Fermi-Landau-type hydrodynamic model, but takes into account the 'bag pressure' and the deconfinement phase transition. These modifications are required in view of our present experimental knowledge of inelastic pp collisions, which is analysed in some detail in this paper. We propose to present numerical solutions for heavy-ion collisions in another paper. (author)
