High energy ion-atom collisions

  • 1. Magyar Tudomanyos Akademia, Debrecen. Atommag Kutato Intezete

Description

The main processes occurring during the ion-atom collisions are described in detail in the energy range available by new heavy ion accelerators and cyclotrons used for atomic physics. Methods of primary and secondary electron spectroscopy of electrons of different kind and origin are analyzed. Applications to study the electron shell structure of superheavy compound atoms are discussed. (D.Gy.)
