High reliability boxes from carbide-silicon materials for long-term storage of high-level radioactive wastes and spent fuels
Description
Conceptual design of a high reliability box with the ampoule from silicon carbide is presented. The box is intended for long-term storage (disposal) of the rods of automatic control and emergency protection of reactors. The characteristics of materials, recommended for fabrication of that kind of boxes, are given too. A possibility of silicon carbide using for vitrification of high-radioactive wastes is shown

Описывается эскизный проект пенала высокой надежности с ампулой из карбида кремния, предназначенного для долговременного хранения (захоронения) стержней автоматического регулирования и аварийной защиты реакторов. Приведены характеристики материалов, рекомендованных для изготовления таких пеналов.
