Reliability of nuclear power plant control software packages

Description

The applicability of common reliability criteria of nuclear power plant components to software is discussed. The effects of documentation, testing and modifiability on software reliability are illustrated from experience with two dual-computer control systems in KANUPP. Finally, recommendations are made to improve nuclear power plant control software package reliability. (author)
