Description
New experimental data on radiation hardening of fibres via H2-loading is reported. Increasing the H2 concentration dissolved in the fibre glass before irradiation is shown to further reduce radiation-induced absorption in H2-loaded fibres with KU and KS-4V silicas in the core. The other degradation in H2-loaded and unloaded fibres under continuous gamma-irradiation. Temporal characteristics of radioluminescence are studied using pulsed reactor radiation. (authors)
